Course 1: Functional Neurological Rehabilitation of the Low-Level Acute CVA/TBI Patient
Course Objectives:- To understand the principles of functional neurological rehabilitation, the importance of restoration of alignment and the mechanism of motor recovery and learning after cortical lesion
- To be able guide a patient with severe impairments through functional activities
- To handle patients in a safe and therapeutic way during bed mobility, transfers, sit to stand and prolonged standing
- To prevent the development of secondary impairments
- To use the techniques presented on any of your neurologically impaired patients

Course 2: Development of Gait after CVA/TBI
This two-day course addresses the treatment of gait disorders for all levels of patients with stroke or traumatic brain injury.
Course Objectives:- To be able to apply anatomy, biomechanics and the principles of gait analysis and motor recovery to the rehabilitation of gait
- To develop functional activities that address the patient’s specific impairments
- To use various facilitatory and mobilizing techniques
- To prevent of the development of secondary impairments such as contractures and compensatory patterns
- To be able to use the techniques presented on any neurologically impaired patients

Course 3: Restoration of Upper Extremity Function after CVA/TBI
This two-day course centers on the treatment of the upper extremity patient with stroke or traumatic brain injury.
Course Objectives:- To apply anatomy, biomechanics and the principles of motor recovery to the evaluation and treatment of the upper extremity
- To develop functional activities that address the patient’s specific impairments
- To use various facilitatory and mobilizing techniques
- To be able to prevent the development of secondary impairments such as shoulder pain and subluxation
- To be able to use the techniques presented on any neurologically impaired patients
